Our Promise to Maui

Hoʻōla Maui Native Hawaiian Organization partners, as defined in 13 CFR 124.3, pledged to work together, share resources and expertise, and coordinate and collaborate in the recovery effort regardless of which individual companies are awarded contracts to prioritize the people of Maui. In January 2024, we successfully completed the Phase 1 USACE contract that included doing Hazard Site Assessments and the removal of Household Hazardous Materials and Bulk Asbestos Materials, fulfilling our pledge.

Hoʻokāhi ka ʻilau like ana.
Wield the paddles together.
Work together.

ʻŌlelo No'eau #1068

Hoʻōla Maui was a hui of Native Hawaiian Organizations (NHOs) and other Hawaiʻi businesses that collaborated to ensure the Maui wildfire clean-up was thorough, efficient, and in the best interest of the affected community.

We recognized that, in the face of devastation, we had the opportunity and responsibility to strengthen our connections and commitments to each other to build back in a better way.
